World Tag Team Champions Team Hell No vs. Tag Team Tournament Winners
With the first two rounds of the No. 1 contenders' tag team tournament announced by SmackDown General Manager Booker T now in the books, Kane & Daniel Bryan can look forward to meeting the winner of Team Rhodes Scholars (Cody Rhodes & Damien Sandow) vs. Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara. The much-anticipated tournament final is scheduled to take place Monday on Raw.
En route to making the final, the WWE Universe-loathing duo of Rhodes & Sandow took out Jimmy & Jey Uso in a first-round matchup before eliminating Santino Marella & Zack Ryder in the second round.
High-flying lucha legends Mysterio & Sin Cara, meanwhile, overcame Primo & Epico in the first round and flew past The Prime Time Players in the semi-finals.
Now, these two teams — both relatively young pairings — will square off for the right to face the unlikeliest WWE Tag Team Champions ever, Team Hell No, on pay-per-view. Which tandem will fight its way into contention at Hell in a Cell? And will the tournament winners have the necessary tools to exploit the obvious weaknesses in Kane & Bryan’s tenuous “game plan”?
