brock lesnar surprize the whole wwe universe
Brock Lesnar gave everyone a surprise when he formed an apparent alliance with Seth Rollins at Monday Night RAW. Could this story twist be a plot to allow Triple H and Stephanie McMahon to return? In a related report by the Inquisitr, Sting’s WWE contract only specifies six matches so it’s possible the potential Sting Vs. Triple H match could be moved up to Royal Rumble 2015. It was also once rumored that Vince McMahon actually wanted The Rock Vs. Brock Lesnar for WrestleMania 31, but since Dwayne Johnson is likely not going to be available for WrestleMania 31, Paul Levesque has already been calling the potential match with Sting “epic” when talking to fans.
There has been a lot of speculation about the future may hold for Brock Lesnar. Some reports claims Lesnar’s WWE contract has been extended beyond WrestleMania 31. Others claim Lesnar will be done with the WWE after losing his title to Roman Reigns. One thing is for certain. WWE Creative plans on doing something interesting with him while he’s available for non-PPV events.
Brock Lesnar first let his presence known during Monday Night RAW when Chris Jericho and Paul Heyman were slated to have a one-on-one street fight. When confronted by the Beast, Jericho tried a Code Breaker, but Lesnar tossed Jericho to the ground only to pick him up for an F-5. While this brief showdown had fans chanting “this is awesome,” the real meat of the story came later on during the cage match between John Cena and Seth Rollins.
Both Cena and Rollins had been brawling for a while and as both men were laid out on the ring Lesnar’s music began to play. Brock Lesnar went straight to the point, hitting John Cena with three German suplexes, and then an F-5. When Lesnar approached a shocked Rollins in the corner, Paul Heyman approached and shook the hand of the bewildered wrestler. After Heyman and Lesnar left the cage, Rollins was able to hit Cena with a curb stomp so he could escape with a win.
What could this handshake mean? If Seth Rollins suddenly becomes one of the Paul Heyman guys, this alliance could suddenly shift the balance of power toward the remnants of Team Authority. It’s possible WWE Creative is looking for a reason to bring Triple H and Stephanie McMahon back, and Kane even spoke about bringing The Authority back into the WWE.
“Since The Authority is no longer in charge, you have freaks like Adam Rose and the rosebuds running around, just running amok, so someone has to be the voice of order around here, and that’s what I am. So you can call me whatever you want, it doesn’t really matter to me. What we really need is The Authority back in power again.”
So could Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins manage to give John Cena a reason to want The Authority to return? Before the Survivor Series began, Vince McMahon stipulated that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon would essentially be limited to wrestling desks back at the office unless Cena gave the okay. A simple handshake could mean nothing since Mr. Money In The Bank still has very good reason to cash in on Lesnar in order to take the WWE Heavyweight Championship belt away. But it’s possible Paul Heyman may attempt to form a faction where the Beast is unleashed and he’s so out of control that Cena actually wants Triple H and his wife to reign Lesnar in.
At the same time, this story would make the Money In The Bank contract useless, which is no fun. Assuming the handshake was just a fluke, it would be interesting if Seth Rollins ever receives an official match with Brock Lesnar if only to see how Rollins might fight dirty. John Cena is probably going to get slammed into the ground at Royal Rumble, so if Lesnar Vs. Rollins ever happens you would expect the smaller wrestler to purposefully earn a disqualification by doing something nasty. But the Money In The Bank contract would allow Rollins to immediately advantage of a wounded Lesnar. If that does happen, and the WWE championship belt is essentially stolen, then you’d expect a title defense match to be right around the corner so Lesnar could put Rollins in his place again before the appointed match with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 31.
If Brock Lesnar ran amuck in the WWE, do you think that’d be a good enough reason to bring Triple H and Stephanie McMahon back?
